Satan and the demons often deceive mankind by revealing themselves as ghosts or pretend to speak through witches and mediums as representatives of the dead.
- Job 4:15; 16; 17; 18;19; Satan is a liar and the father of lies and Yahweh justly cast him into Tartaroo and restrained Satan’s dominion of darkness. Satan and the demons promote sexual immorality among mankind, but they are incapable of conceiving children themselves.
- Tartaroo, Hades, or Geenna the lake of fire
- Acts 2:27 (NIV84) — 27 because you will not abandon me to the (grave = hades), nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
- Psalm 16:10 (NIV84) — 10 because you will not abandon me to the (grave = sheol)l, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
- Both Hades and Sheol should be properly translated as the Grave. When most people die they are buried in a grave that is a pit or hole in the earth and their bodies return to the dust.
- (Eph 4:8; 9; 10; 1 Pe 3:18; Rev 1:18; ) Messiah Yeshua never sinned, so when He died and was entombed, His body did not decay. Three days after Messiah’s death, he arose from the grave and ascended into heaven.
- Acts 2:31 (NIV84) — 31 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the (grave = hades), nor did his body see decay.
- The word grave is translated from the Greek; “Hades” that is often incorrectly assumed to be hell. The misunderstanding of Hades comes from Greek myth the depicts the underworld as the realm of the dead that is ruled by a mythological god. Modern Christianity transfers deceptive pagan beliefs to biblical references of Sheol that describes the “Grave” as a pit in the Old Testament. Satan spiritual influence over pagan cultures produces many faults beliefs that distort Yahweh’s words of truth.
- (Ge 3:19; 22; 23; ) Adam and Eve sinned by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So, Yahweh justly commanded that mankind would experience death and return to the dust from which they were created.
- The Hebrew words Chey Nephesh means, “living creature” and identifies both humans and animals. The word soul is derived from the Hebrew term for a living creature. The Hebrew word Ro-ach means “breath or spirit.” Ro-ach is also used to express self-awareness or conscience. When the breath “Ro-ach” is taken away then the a living creature “Chey Nephesh” dies.
- Psalm 104:29 (NIV84) — 29 When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their (breath = Ro-ach or spirit), they die and return to the dust.
- Psalm 146:4 (NASB95) — 4 His ( spirit = breath Ro-ach) departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.
- When the breath is taken away then the conscience of the living creature comes to an end.
- Ecclesiastes 9:5 (NIV84) — 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing;
- (Ge 2:7; Lk 23:46; Psa 31:5; ) Elohim breathe life into the first Adam. Death occurs when the breath in a “living creature = Soul” is taken away and returns to Elohim the creator and giver of life.
- Ecclesiastes 12:7 (NIV84) — 7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the (spirit = breath in the Hebrew Ro-ach) returns to God who gave it.
- The Soul dies and the Spirit returns to Elohim
*(Ge 3:4; 5; ) Satan deceived Eve promising that she would not die. The belief that mankind has an immortal soul originates from Satan’s first lie and continues through most mythological religious practices. - Acts 2:29 (NIV84) — 29 “Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.
- David died and was buried and his body “Soul” return to the dust. David did not ascend to heaven, but his body decayed in the grave of Hades the pit of Sheol.
- Acts 2:34–35 (NIV84) — 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, “ ‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand 35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” ’
- John 3:12–13 (NIV84) — 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
- Proverbs 30:4–6 (NIV84) — 4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? - John 5:28–29 (NIV84) — 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be ( condemned = judgment).
- Body, Mind, and Spirit
- New Testament Greek separates the physical body from the conscious mind even though the Hebrewv Scriptures demonstrates that the Chey Nepheshi body and the conscious mind parishes together at death. The Greek terminology still recognizes the physical reality that a living creature dies when its breath is taken away. The Greek word for breath is pneuma and expresses the same meaning as the Hebrew Ro-ach = spirit or breath.
- Hebrews 4:12 (NIV84) — 12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing (soul = psyche) and (spirit = pneuma or breath), joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
*(Mt 12:36; 2 Cor 10:5; Ro 6:23; ) The Soul or conscious psyche of a person can be separated from the spiritual breath that gives life. Every thought will come under judgment and the wages of sin his death. - 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NIV84) — 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole ( spirit = pneum or breath), ( soul = psyche or conscience) and (body = Soma or physical) be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The Spirit of Holiness sanctifies the (spirit = pneuma) and (soul = psyche) in faithful followers of Messiah Yeshua, so that they may be purified in body, mind, and spirit.
- Matthew 10:28 (NIV84) — 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the (body = Soma) but cannot kill the (soul = psyche). Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both (soul = psyche) and (body = Soma) in ( hell = geenne that is the final lake of fire that completely consumes).
- (Lk 12:6; 7; )Messiah Yeshua is being reassuring and at the same time warning mankind that the physical death of a person does not prevent Yahweh from remembering their (psyche or conscious) thoughts that will be brought before judgment. For, Yahweh numbers the hairs on your head and is able to raise the dead. But, the rebellious and heart may be judged as worthy of eternal death and then their conscience thoughts will be removed forever from Yahweh’s memory.
- Luke 12:5 (NIV84) — 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing ( the word body was added to the sentence), has power to throw you into ( hell = geenna). Yes, I tell you, fear him.
- Revelation 20:14–15 (NIV84) — 14 Then death and ( Hades = Sheol the grave) will be thrown into the lake of ( fire = geenna). The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone’s name is not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
- “Death and Hades will be thrown into Geenna” symbolizes that there will be no more death or graves in the pit of Sheol, when Yahweh completely consumes all wickedness in the lake of fire. Satan and the demons will no longer exist to tempt mankind to sin.
- Gates of Hades and the Pit of Sheol
- Matthew 16:18 (NIV84) — 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of (Hades = the grave) will not overcome it.
- (Rev 1:12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18; ) The Resurrected and Glorified Messiah holds the Keys to Death and Hades. Messiah Yeshua will release the prisoners of Death, held captive in the waterless pit of the Grave, raising everyone to renewed life.
- (Psa 90:3; 4; 5; 104:29; 30; Zec 9:11; Ro 6: 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12; 13; Act 24:15; Rev 20:4; 5; 6; All mankind are destined to die once. Even though, Death returns mankind to dust, there is the promised hope of the resurrection from the waterless pit of the grave.
- Matthew 7:13–14 (NIV84) — 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
- John 14:6 (NIV84) — 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
- Messiah Yeshua is the Way, Truth, and the Life. There is only one doorway for mankind to enter into the house of the Heavenly Father to receive Eternal Life.
