The International Council on Biblical Inerrancy (ICBI) was founded in 1977 to clarify and defend the doctrine of biblical inerrancy. There have been three major ICBI conferences in Chicago: 1.) October 26–28, 1978, 2.) November 10–13, 1982, and 3.) December 10–13, 1986.
