Question: Does the Biblical account recorded in the first chapter of
Genesis 1:1; 2; 5; 8; 13; 19; 23; 31; 2:3; prove that the physical universe and the earth were created in 6 Days and only 6000 years ago? A superficial reading of Scripture may lead to presumptuous conclusions from verses like;
Exodus 20:11; for in six days Yehawah ( עָשָׂה = made = [asah] means; to mold, fashion, to organize) the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day, therefore Yehawah blessed the Sabbath day and made it Holy
The Exodus 20:11; account does not contain the word (בָּרָא = created = [bara]) that exists in Genesis 1:1
So the Exodus 20:11; account is only referring to the reorganizing and renewing of the heavens and the earth. This obvious difference shows that there could be a vast amount of time that exist between...
Genesis 1:1; and the second verse in Genesis 1:2; Psa 104:30; where Yehawah Eloheyem begins Renewing the face of the earth.
Any attempt to ignore archaeological evidence of multiple prehistoric eras only produce senseless disregard of reasonable scientific investigation.
In Job 38:4; 5; 6; 7; Yehawah Eloheyem informs Job that the Angels shouted for joy when He (יָסַד = began forming = [yaw·sad/]) the earth. It should be obvious that the Angels already existed in a Heavenly realm before the creation of the physical universe from which the elements for the earth were formed.
Genesis 1:2; The earth (הָיְתָה = became = [hayah]) (תֹהוּ = formless = [tohu]) and (וָבֹהוּ = void = [bohu]) and darkness was on the face of the deep. The Spirit of Eloheyem (מְרַחֶפֶת = hovered = to intensely watching over, in a state of shock or shaken) over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:31; The Sixth Day ended when, Eloheyem observed everything He (עָשָׂה = made = [asah] means; to mold, fashion, to organize) and it was (very = מְאֹד = [meod] = exceeding the earthly creation that existed before the six days of the Genesis 1:2; renewal began) and the word (good = טָבַב = [towb] = a quality of goodness that corrects and heals the created nature that became destroyed by evil).
