A shaliaḥ (Hebrew: שָלִיחַ; pl. שְלִיחִים, sheliḥim) in Halakha is a Jewish legal emissary or agent. Accordingly, a shaliaḥ performs an act of legal significance for the benefit of the sender, as opposed to him or herself.
